Vehicle Skateboards Recycled

Research tells us that skateboarders are the largest consumers of wood. How much wood, could a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck would chuck wood…

Anyway…

With the industry attempting to go ‘green’ from every angle of production, we can warmly welcome to the circus Vehicle Skateboards. Started by Robbie Gangemi in 2000, Vehicle’s latest incarnation is focusing on making decks from recycled woods, an innovative idea that will cut down tree devastation and be one small step in helping the environment.

The technology was developed through Pop Master Innovations who say that “products are extremely environmentally friendly and can be made from an assortment of recycled Hard Rock Maple products and by-products, including used skateboard decks. With our Patent Pending Method, high quality maple can be continuously reused for skateboard manufacturing and other applications.” It will be interesting to see how well these boards hold up after a solid couple of runs.. Could be onto a good thing here…

Take a peep here for an indepth look at the company’s idea
