Sam Elsom x Quiksilver

If someone told you a garment was coloured using eco friendly dye stuffs and printed with plant based Inks…would you notice?
If someone told you a garment represents a global movement towards a sustainable future…would you listen?
If someone told you the organic cotton in a garment was picked on small village farms in India… would you care?
If a tree falls in a forest and no one is around to hear it, does it make a sound?

Sam Elsom wants you to notice, listen and care to the first three questions, I know not of his opinion on the fourth but my gut feeling tells me yes it would make a noise.

Sam is back at again producing a new collection for Quiksilver. This time round with a commitment to the environment and a move to earth friendly fashion. All the products in the collection are made from organic materials, eco friendly inks, etc and the swing tags come to you with scented Bottlebrush seeds which can be planted to grow into a native Bottlebrush tree improving your local eco-system.

5 pieces make up the collection – 4 tee’s and one slice of denim. The tee’s have the soft, vintage feel that is uber comfortable and popular right now. The prints on the tee and nice and subtle, nothing that jumps out at you. And the denim is a light wash and of a straight leg fit.

For some reason, of which I’m unaware of, the tee’s already have holes worn in them. A design thing I’m guessing, but can’t say I’d be too inclined to buy anything w/holes in them before I purchased it – excluding donuts of course…

Apart from the holes, the collection is pretty nice. I really like the enviro factor that it has.

The collection is available online at the Quik Aus Store. get it now.
