This will be a godsend for some. No longer will you have to go into a store and buy some boardies from a dude who don’t surf, wears girls jeans and puts more goop in his hair then you put in your socks each week…
The Quiksilver Core Collection has been developed under the guidance of Tom Carroll, the man who just got his ankle snapped at 25ft Waimea, to service the core customer who demands performance from there products.
Only a limited number of authentic accounts will be getting this collection – no malls, no hair gel, just the type of store that have the surf/skate/snow lifestyle completely engrained in their DNA and have helped shape the industry for us all.
Refreshing to see indeed. While most companies are heading towards creating more specialist collections based around artist, athlete collaborations and the like. Quiksilver have taken a step in the opposite direction.
There’s a touch of color on one of the boardies – the popular Mo Massive model. But the rest of the collection is monochromatic heaven, blacks, whites and greys.
The No Bull boardies are our favourite piece – cut above the knee, all black with the traditional pocket on the back. The only nod towards modern technology is the inclusion of the Diamond Dobby material – not a bad thing.
Other pieces in the collection include a couple of tees, boardies, cap and two bags/packs..
Head over to the Quik site to see more of the collection and where you can get them from –
