Quiksilver have just dropped a new store design (and a new website) in time for school holidays, no child care facilities available tho…
The first store to get the Extreme Makeover gig applied is the flagship edition on George St, Sydney. Moving away from the over crowded store layout that some stores go for, Quik is keeping with the dynamic, ever changing nature of fashion and will be focusing on interior refurbishments with the design ethos to be rooted in creative representations that focus on Quiksilver’s brand individuality.
Murals, interchangeable panels, themed imagery, modern takes on historical references and the extensive use of hand-crafted, raw materials will all be what makes up these new changes. The approach is less about heavily-produced shop fittings and more about being in, and interacting within an energy-filled space.
Check out the shots, looks pretty impressive. Hopefully other brands will take notice and move away from the sterile feeling that shopping malls have at the moment and move more towards showcasing what their brand is about as all the leading brands have pretty unique stories to tell..
Happy Friday.
