Hurley never heard about the GFC. Noone told them, not Barack, not the Bank Owners and def not Nike. So while everyone is cowering behind cut budgets and slashed resources Hurley step it and drop the two largest prizemoney purses in surfing history, create a ‘qs event that rivals 90% of the ‘CT events and then drop a boardshort with nike techonlogy running thru it.

The short is part of their highly acclaimed Phantom Series – it’s P140 Phantom fabric w/ Nike Flywire, welded seam construction, patented ez fly closure complete with a 21 inch outseam. Solid boardshorts, the flywire is meant to decrease the weight in the short while increasing the durability and structure of the short.

While the shorts are impressive enough, it’s the packaging that really impressed me. Who the hell puts out a pair of boardies in slick packaging? The shorts come in a nuts looking box, complete with a A4 book about the shorts and a DVD. Crazy.
