The stretchiest boardshort in the world, The Phantom, just got the nod to expand into more styles. Word on the street is that Hurley are growing this short from 1 style into 11 separate products…..hopefully they are making a purple jumpsuit out of this stuff, I want to get weird.

The Phantom won the SIMA boardshort of the year award this year and from next year, Hurley has expanded the price point range of this trunk both lower and higher, it will soon be available from $55US to $100US. They’re looking to roll out some funky prints rather than just going stealth black.

According to someone in the know there are now going to be two different fabrications of the Phantom; one with 120 percent stretch, the other at 60 percent. The industry standard is in the single digits.

Hurley has a patent pending for the Phantom technology.

Also, if you hadn’t heard, Hurley are now using the hottest Israeli this side of Palestine, Bar Refaeli, as their lead model. Sweet.
