Ahhh shooting for catalogs and other marketing materials. For the company it’s a necessity, for the team riders it seems so trivial – just let me go surf man..  Time to try something new? Sure, how about we get one of the skaters to come in and shoot one of the surfers? Kinda like a one on one but with a twist..  Quiksilver thought that, threw the dice and came out with something a little fresher.. Kinda helps when the subject is D Reynolds and the shutterbug is Alex Olson...

So one sunny day, or as sunny as Venice can get, the duo hit the beach at Venice and shot some shots. Later on when we asked Alex for his thoughts on the shoot he said, “I felt like Dane and I had the same out look on our profession….”. Makes sense. Cool concept that might get the riders a bit more hyped on cattle dogs..
