Here’s yet another post on Nixon, zzzzzzz. While I have some deep love for Nixon, I am seriously hoping a new watch brand drops real soon. There’s Rip Curl, who make some of the most amazing surf based watched out there – they own tide. But Nixon own the looks/fashion field. Ideally a brand who can combine the technical awesomeness of Rip Curl and the branding/appeal of Nixon would make a killing in this industry.

Here’s a new hit on a old favourite from Nixon. Their 51-30 just got a top to bottom overhaul with the bracelet, bezel, and case getting upgraded with lightweight titanium construction. The 51-30 TI ($800) will feature 200M water resistance and Superlum hands and indices. Pretty nice indeed, hopefully they roll this out to other styles as like the Mellor…

    You know you can always look outside the surf world for a watch right? Jesus. Wake up and take the blinkers off, there are some amazing small watch companies out there.

    haha, you obviously haven’t found the search option on this site have you Timmy? 

    There’s been plenty of posts on watch brands ‘outside’ the industry – Uniform Wares, TSOVET and others.  The point I was making was that it’d be great for another watch brand to pop up in this industry – the action sports (or whatever name you call it) – and do something new.. thanks for the link tho, i’ll wake up and take my blinkers off and check it out. maybe even do a post on it, unless you want to? you up for that, maybe enlighten us some of the readers to brands outside our blinkers… ?
