Mike Prickett :: Explore.org

Surf cinematographer, Mike Prickett was paralyzed earlier this year. There is a new web-series documenting his struggle to recover the ability to walk.

Called Explore.org, the site is telling the story of Mike’s accident and his battle to walk again. If you’re not familiar with the story, Prickett went to the aid of a fellow diver, who was running low on air in French Polynesia. Helping to share his oxygen supply, the pair were caught underwater with both of their tanks depleted. While undergoing an emergency surfacing, Mike was stricken with a severe case of the bends, which partially paralyzed his lower body. Doctors have since said that it will take him 6 months to find out if he’ll ever walk again.

This on-going documentary will expose what happens over those months.
