Burton & Filson

Dreamy little project ain’t it. Two of the more amazing companies we know of – Burton the GodFathers of Snow and Filson the GodFathers of the ‘Heritage Look’ everyone is taking is inspiration from – get together to produce a gorgeous (yeah, just typed gorgeous) collection…

The tech is still there, but the look of the collection, rugged – outdoorsy – manly – is bounds ahead of what regular snow gear is looking like. No retina damaging fluro tech panels here, just real nice color block and use of materials.

Highlight piece? The Sentry Jacket. All one color, it looks like a well oiled piece of leather that the Man from Snowy River would wear… It’s actually a highly water repellent, Filson 12.5-oz., 100-percent cotton oil finish tin cloth (whew) with a satin/fleece lining and a Sherpa-lined hood. It also has “removable Lycra hand panties,” which just sound incredible.

No idea of price, availability, or any of the important stuff that will let you buy it.
