Quiksilver Fuse Flex
A wetsuit with no seams, heat retentive fabric on the inside and liquid tape all over it. This suit is warm, real warm. We spoke about it a while back but never got to actually try it on and surf in it.
Created with what Quiksilver are calling Fuseflex Stitchless Seam Technology, meaning there’s no stitching (or real minimial amounts). The stitching has been replaced with a razor thin molecular bonding process which eliminates the need to stitch seams – no stitching = no pin-holes for leakage. There is a whole bunch of other tech involved in the suit as well but main thing is the whole no stitching gig and the warmth…
So we surfed in it. Did we like it? Yep, it’s warm (smoothie! and heat fabric stuff), doesn’t really have any leaks at all (yes! to liquid tape) and overall is a good solid suit. It was part of the Tracks Wetty Guide, head over to their site for a full breakdown on it.
