Vans Vault | Spring 2011

Vans Vault | Spring 2011

I’m a big fan of what Vans produce for their Vault collections, they always create such nice, clean product. For their latest lookbook, of which the product should be dropping around Feb, they lined up Scott Barry to produce the look and feel of it. Scott who is from San Fran, did such a good job Van turned the lookbook into a limited edition book “Between You and Me’.

30 pages is how thick the book is. It’s got two pinwheels highlighting the Dead Stock Canvas Project w/Ludwig & new styles from Taka Hayashi (who in my mind has gone backwards a little from previous styles…) The shoes themselves in the book are pretty solid. Obviosuly carrying that Vans look you see everywhere, but it’s not until you get closer that you can the influence the Vault has on them – materials, etc…

As always anything Vault is hard to get your hands on, but I think Blindisde might be one of the few stores selling them here in Australia…
Still. It’s got me wondering… Why produce your lookbook in limited numbers?
