Unilite Trainer :: DC

We gave you the heads about the Unilite last week. It’s lightweight, it’s a trainer (trainers are in!), it’s colorful! From a fashion point of view, the shoe itself is pretty nice – given that brands are now merging good looks with tech characteristics us regular humans can now wear trainers that look good. That’s a good thing.

Given how amped everyone is getting on trainers at the moment, I thought it’d be nice to find out a little more about the Unilite, what makes it tick and why I should buy a pair. What makes the Unilite so good? This is what we got from DC…

*It’s lightweight – the Unilite (hence the name) technology in the midsole provides a pretty dame lightweight experience allowing for some damn cushy shoes. Add to that the faceted midsole which provides the medial/lateral support you need when running (or kicking back on the couch)
*The welded construction of the Unilite eliminates layers and stitching which in turn provides a lighter shoe with a better fit and breathability (via in part the open cell mesh) – much like bad breath, no one likes stinky feet so the breathability is a good thing.
*The molded ortholite insole & EVA strobel board along with the inner sock makes for a an easy slip in and gives support for when your crunching concrete on your morning run (or walking outside to get the paper)
*The colors! Who doesn’t love a little color hit on your trainers! Although I’d probably go allblackeverything, the blue one has something about it that would look pretty good.

Overall, a pretty damn good shoe. You can buy them now via the DC store.
