Reef’s RESRV Collection

Boots are cool right now and will be for most of the year. Kiss goodbye you vulcanised low cut kicks and lace up some desert boots or anything that is a little more manly (not the dreaded Sea Eagles, manly like John Wayne). There’s a few companies doing different treatments on this style right now, here’s a look at Reef are offering

Reef are throwing out a more lifestyle inspired closed toe collection later this year, titled RESRV it’s ‘targeting a design-savvy consumer and boutique style retailers.’ The silhouettes are pretty clean, constructed from premium leather and has some of that classic Reef comfort (you tried those Coastal Cruisers?)

Exterior treatments entail premium suede and full grain leather uppers, along with subtle finishes like leather label inlays vintage lace-up hardware and sleek stitching details. The interior includes a unique insole system that houses a dual density EVA pebbled footbed that also provides odor management properties. The insole is removable and washable — ideal for function and travel.

Reef have also brought on two new ambassadors to represent the collection, Luke Davis and Cyrus Sutton. Both dripping with cool right now, think Luke just signed up 100% actually. The collection is getting sold to retailers right now, but won’t be hitting stores until August, maybe a touch earlier given that summer ranges get delivered in winter these days…
