LXVI :: Vans

Most people should have at least heard a whisper about this by now… A new athletic inspired collection from Vans, titled LXVI (meaning 66 in roman numerals).

The line was created with the intention to compete against the athletic companies who’ve entered the action sports space (one in particular probably springs to mind?) and to address what Vans have researched as a meshing of the mainstream and industry customers…

Distribution of the shoes is also changing lanes, with the LXVI collection available in FootLocker and Sports Chalet plus Vans Stores. Five models each getting four colorways with the Graph being the topdog. The Graph is apparently the lightest Vans shoe ever – all shoes have lighter foam, lighter outsole materials, a new waffle-based tread design, and several other technical advances that I know nothing about…
