Winter is here down in Australia. But if you live down in Victoria you probably already know that right? Rama. You’ve heard of him before, he’s graced this site more then once. He’s a talented designer who just changed gears, shifting from O’Neill to The Critical Slide Society in the last week or so. Kinda excited to see what he does there…  Anyway, below are his essentials..

Diptique Perfume

About two years ago my good pal and wordsmith Derek Riley swung past my apartment to pick me up for a little bikrem session and I was met by a white Audi smelling like a dream… I quizzed him on the delightful aroma, but he was not forthcoming as this was his signature scent… Eventually I persuaded him to give up the name of this heavenly smell and what came out was the name of sweet sweet french perfume label Diptique

Brown Converse All Stars

The perfect shoe for me is the classic brown on brown converse all star… done up leaving one eyelet at the top to rome free then wrap the left over rope around the ankle and a nice little tie on the side and your done for any outfit this winter and if things heat up then the pegs look cute as apple pie.

I am a sucker for detail in all aspects of life and a brand that draws me in the most is Ralph Lauren’s RRL diffusion label. I can’t speak highly enough of this product. Basically, if I could have a chance to design clothing like these guys, my life would surpass content into a somewhat place of bliss. Fabrics, swing tags, fits, colours and washes are second to none… If you have a few spare grands then jump on these exquisite items and feel like a million dollars

Poler

Like it or not the whole outdoors scene is quite the look these days with the resurgence of chinos, and brands like Herschel. personally I’m a little fond of all this as an alternative to the saturation of people trying to look like they are struggling artists, musicians or simply just homeless. A brand doing this particularly well is Poler out of the USA. It sells an amazing out doors lifestyle that incorporates all elements of living an active lifestyle.

Porche 911

The perfect surf car or not the 911 is any real mans true desire of affection and don’t let anyone tell you otherwise… sure if you get a fire engine red one you may have to toss the crimson comme des garçons wallet out the window as you roll down the street but this sweet sweet slice of man kinds fineries will more then make up for your losses.
