Top Ten Trainers.
Given how much spotlight we’ve been giving trainers over the last two weeks, we figured we should do some uneducated research and find some examples that should replace those boat shoes you’re currently wearing. We picked ten, there’s probably more, there’s probably ones you think should have got included (comments please) and one’s you think we should have left out. But for now, these are the trainers we think are the best on the market for casually strolling in shorts – if you’re rolling in pants, roll your cuffs gents.
So. Here’s our Top Ten Trainers for right now (July 2012)
Nike Roshe
These are on everyone’s lips (or feet if you’re lucky) right now. Supremely light and breathable in a nice block color – with the option of a retina burning bright color’d outer sole – the Roshe is Nike’s drop at merging tech with looks? at a very affordable price. Go the black with volt outer. Available now.

Nike Lunar Hyperfuse Safari +
Hyperfuse(d) shoes look amazing in your hands. On your feet? I have no idea. But I love the tech behind them, Hyperfuse is sexy. Got a good glimpse of these in the Nike Running Store the other week – light, colorful and trendy with the whole Safari them. We spoke about them earlier this year if you need a refresher course. Get the Black/Anthracite/Dynamic Blue. Available now.
—
DC Unilite
We’ve already spoke about this a bunch, kinda what got us thinking more about trainers. The Unitlie is DC’s first foray in the trainer world and is a solid start. Am digging the range of colors available too, but would love to see it in all black – kinda sick of white outsole right now. Available now.
—
LXVI Vans Graph
Saw these in the flesh earlier today at the Vans Store and damn they are ligggggght – so light Tim could’nt catch them when I threw them at him. The Graph is the pair you want from the LXVI range, the others are ok but if you’re buying may as well grab the best ones. Colors? All Blacks with orange highlights are nice as are the Navy/Cyan ones too. Available now.

Nike Lunarglide 4
After rolling round in the 3′s last year, I can say I got pretty excited when the 4′s dropped earlier this month. Refined with new technology it’s hard to go wrong purchasing these – look good with shorts, look good with rolled cuffs. They just look good. YOu can even customise your own, like our’s above – but maybe refrain from yolo’ing your derp. Customise your own now.
—
Supra Owen
Weighing only 200grams and coming in a variety of colours, The Owen by Supra actually look pretty damn sweet. The guys at Sneaker Freaker certainly gave them a good review. Available now.
—
New Balance 574 Custom
New Balance is what the hipsters wear who don’t wear Nike’s. Too far? Who knows, but into my fifth shoe and my ability to write anything informative is waning. I’ve been a fan on NB for a while, yet haven’t worn a pair. The 574′s are a dreamy looking sneaker worn and touted by many. With the ability to splice your own dreams into it, you can’t really go wrong – one pair of sneakers that look real nice with chinos – Customise your’s now.
—
Adidas Marathon 88
Have to include a pair from Adidas right? An since I’m not a fan of the Gazelle’s, I dribbled thru the site and found these beatuies – The Marathons in a nice subtle grey/blue’y colorway. If you’re more adventurous maybe you’d dig the glorious electric blue/volt colorway (also comes in a nice black/y color too) Available now.

Asics Gel Envigor
These just look good. Might be because I’m a sucker for cyan – it’s such a friendly fun color. The Gel Envigor running-based trainer combines a lightweight, flexible midsole with a breathable yet supportive upper. Available now.

K-Swiss Toobs Kenny Fukn Powers
These got included because of the ad. No pictures here, just watch the ad.
