Quiksilver Winter ’13

It’s barely the end of winter ’12 and brands are out and about selling whats coming next winter (which will probably drop into store in summer anyway. derp.) Quiksilver had their release/tradeshow for retailers in Victoria yesterday, all brands were on show with Roxy probably having the best looking setup – the pulled a boat into the setup and stuck it on a wall. We’ve got some stand alone posts coming for DC and VSTR, but what we’ll show you today is a basic round up of what we saw…

Quiksilver had some nice fleece pieces on show but it seemed their center piece was Chinos/Denim with a nice looking display front and center of their area. Plenty of colors if your a chino guy. Following on from the skittles range of chinos, Quik have also throw a packet at their wetsuit collection with their suits getting full block colors (orange, yellow, blue) and their groms getting an assortment of opps.

On top of that we got a bonus surprise with the inclusion of a real nice two shoe collection, of which I’ve forgotten the names of – a low cut and a mid top. Both really clean silhouettes, simple lace system and a true vulcanized outer. Upper is a waxed suede that comes up real nice (scotch guard it before wearing tho). Their snow was also real impressive as well (separate post coming there) with a good looking signature collection from Mr Rice again.

Roxy had a nice snow/winter feel to their collection. Was interesting to see their surfers mixing it up with the snowboarders (Torah Bright) in the creative on show. Didn’t really peek any of their actual range up close. But there site/space was impressive – hopefully they get to recreate that vibe at the retail level.

Moskova was there, no models – well, probably can’t count Blake – showing their new range of underwear. Plenty of colors and patterns take center stage, even a nifty pair of briefs that have pockets built in.
