Bill Eppridge :: Skateboarding 1960s NYC
This looks like a lot of fun.
Photographer Bill Eppridge has some classic shots of Skateboarding from NYC in the 60s. Given the amount of retro Penny boards going around, this seems poignant. Not really, I just wanted to use the word poignant. Poignant. Sounds weird now.
Anyway, this is rad. Little blocks of wood with some rollerskate wheels on them. Hit a little pebble and you’re dust. How good would some wipeout shots be.
I’m loving the men in black ones though. So rad. I wish there were guys dress like this doing stairs and rails in the streets of New York still.
