Nike & Levi’s :: 511 Skateboarding
We spoke about this a while back when old mate was shopping his sample pair around, but now it’s been released in all it’s magnificent glory. Nike & Levi’s just do it. That’s two Zings!
Two power houses teaming up – guessing their must have been some hectic ego clashes with this co-op collection. Can you imagine? Nah, neither.. But damn, it’s impressive.
Based around the popular Levi’s 511, the 511 Skateboarding takes Levi’s cut and adds in Nike’s Dri-FIT. It’s coming in two version and multiple colors – maroon? Hope not. Ha. And to accompany the denim? There’s a denim Trucker jacket and a series of co-branded Nike Skateboarding shoes, the Omar LR and the Nike Pro Dunk Low.
To really add some polish (and why wouldn’t you given the two teams playing) they’ve created a special edition of Omar Salazar’s signature shoe. You can see it all in action in the clip below.
Important release dates?
The 511 Skateboarding will release July 4 at select global retailers in limited numbers. Jeans running for about $200 and Omar shoes at about $85 (USD)
