Hurley x Converse

It was only a matter of time before Nike pulled together these two brands within their stable of radness. To be honest, I’m more excited about the tees than the shoes!

In a nut shell, this is a Hurley release, but they are tying together artwork from classic Cali artist Rick Griffin and creating a unique Jack Purcell Converse shoe. In addition there are five graffic print tees, and as I said in the intro, for me these are the cream of the release. How good is that surfing Jesus print!

The collection will launch exclusively at Mollusk Surf Shops in Brooklyn, Venice and San Francisco in mid-November and will be celebrated with an exclusive event on November 10th at Mollusk Venice. The collection will become available throughout the USA in mid-December 2011 at select retail locations. I’m sure if you’re a Rick Griffin fan, you’ll be able to track some down online no matter where you are in the world.
