GLM for Lee

Who is GLM you ask? Anyone who loves Chronicles of Never might already be onto it… GLM is Gareth Lachlan Moody and he has sliced up a real nice collection for Lee.

“GLM for Lee fuses the dark aesthetic of Gareth Lachlan Moody, Chronicles of Never designer, with the denim heritage and local design team expertise of Lee Jeans.”  Dreamy PR punchline huh? What does it mean? (well considering there’s no double rainbows here, I’m not sure)

It’s actually looking like pretty fucking amazing collaboration to be honest. Not just buy a print from a photo and slap it on a tee deal, this is more get dude in and make him work for it. Characteristics of both brands flow through the collection - Chronicles of Never pocket shape, unbranded matt buttons and beautifully finished trims sitting alongside Lee’s iconic heritage “lazy S” pocket stitching and the unique unbranded hair-on-hide patch.

Denim is central to the range and the team has carried through some of Lee’s hero fits including the skinny tight Girls ‘Licks’ and the super skinny Guys ‘LZero’. Two new fits engineer a drop crotch skinny leg for Guys and a twisted seam Jodhpur style in Girls. The denim colour palette focuses on darker shades of mushroom, blue, oil, coal and black with a shot of white.

The GLM FOR LEE collection will be available in Lee stores and select stockists nationally from May 2012.
