MC & O’Neill :: 60 Years Of Innovation
That’s a long post title even with the cuts to abbreviations… The jist of it? Monster Children curated an art show based around 60 years of O’Neill Innovation. If you surf, you know Jack O’Neill and the innovations O’Neill have brought to the game, so it’s kinda nice and warm to see an art show like this get off the ground and get some steam…
It’s a global tour with stops all over the joint – Asia, Africa, Europe, North America and Australia (deerrp) with artworks from the likes of Thomas Campbell, Mark Penxa, Jim Phillips Jnr and more. The best bet? All the amazing O’Neill memorabilia – remember the ‘Animal’ wetsuit? Thing was epic! And then the shots of Jack rolling in a hot air ballon – glorious.
Anyway. Launch night was on Friday and there’s a whole bunch of shots above. A rad tumblr site dedicated to it all and some love on the MC site. If you’re in Sydney, head to the Old Paramount Building at 80 Commonwealth St in Surry Hills to check it all out – you will leave amped, inspired and frothy for a surf.
