Wax Off – Surfers That Art, was a show we presented to you last year. The show was such a success that we’re planning a sequel, this time round tho, it’s moving on up to Greenwood’s South Melbourne gallery – the bigger space allowing for a couple more huge names in the surf art world to be added to what was already an epic lineup, the exhibition – running from August 12-29 – is going to be mad and promises to showcase all that’s happening in today’s modern surf/art scene…
There’s 23 artists in total showing at Wax Off including Steve Gorrow and Rama McCabe from the Whiskey Gallery; Jim Mitchell, the man that brings us TCSS; Ryan Heywood, photographer wizard; Wade Lewis, Nick Chalmers, Mick Egan and more.. We will throw a dedicated post up for every artist. But for now, just enjoy the visual stimulation below of a mix of art, office space and portraits.
(And keep an eye out for the Wax Off zine (hopefully) released in time for the event)
