If you took the beautiful mind of Claude Monet and mashed it together with the anarchic spirit of Sid Vicious, you’d have the artwork of Wade Lewis.
Hailing from Cairns, Wade’s works range from menacing oils, to sublime collages of supermodels. A protégé of Rom Stover, his noted accomplishments include; illustrating the tribal designs of Quiksilver’s Crossing boat, exhibiting art in L.A. and wrestling a crocodile, while barra fishing in the swampy north of Australia.
Wade is a surfer, skater, snowboarder and trail rider. His freethinking ideas and savant talents, ensure that he’ll be terrorising society at the point of an airbrush for many years to come.
Check out more of Wade’s art at the upcoming Wax Off exhibition in Lorne, Easter Staurday….
